Dr. Sibylle Studer: Tools & Methods for Co-creation

Objectives
In this workshop, you get familiar with the td-net web portal for co-producing knowledge. We will jointly reflect on how to adapt and apply the tools & methods of the td-net toolbox in your Citizen Science context. After our workshop, you should feel equipped with tools & methods that support moments of co-creation in Citizen Science projects.

Description
In a brief introduction, you will learn about the transdisciplinary research community and how they use the tools and methods of the td-net toolbox for bridging different perspectives between experts from science and practice. We will discuss commonalities between the td community and Citizen Science community to better understand the research context in which tools & methods for co-production may be applied.
We will then directly apply some ‘brief taster’ of the methods to 'learn by doing'. Followed by debrief sessions in which we discuss the potential use cases of the methods, and search for additional methods that can support you in your method challenges.

Preparation
1)    You’re invited to bring your ‘method challenges’ to the workshop: Are you currently searching for a specific method in a research project? If yes, what should be the purpose of the method? When/in what kind of situation should it be applied?
2)    We are also eager to learn about your favorite method for co-created Citizen Science!
You will be invited to share your method challenges and method favorites on virtual sticky notes on Mural at the beginning of the workshop.
